The service
FieldReady Academy provides exam preparation courses and ServiceForge, a knowledge base of medical equipment troubleshooting records reached through an AI assistant. By using either you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Not a substitute for the manual
ServiceForge is an aid for trained technicians. Records are field-unverified unless technicians confirmed them, and community fixes are one technician's experience. You remain responsible for following the manufacturer's procedures and specifications, your facility's policies, and applicable law, and for confirming anything safety-critical against the documentation for your exact model and revision. Never deviate from the manufacturer's specifications on the strength of a ServiceForge record. The AI assistant you connect ServiceForge to is a separate product with its own terms; what it adds from its own sources is not ServiceForge content.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to that email secure; activity under your account is yours. One person per account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
What you may not do
- Submit patient information of any kind. Submissions are screened and rejected, and repeated attempts may close your account.
- Submit material you do not have the right to share, including a third party's confidential or proprietary procedures.
- Submit false records, pad contributions to game the rewards, or use another person's account.
- Scrape, bulk-export, resell, or redistribute the knowledge base, or use it to build a competing database.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to gain access to systems or accounts you are not authorised to use.
Contributions
When you log a fix, confirmation, part, PM report, access code, or catalog model, you give FieldReady Academy a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, de-identify it, combine it with other records, and show it to other users of ServiceForge. You confirm it is your own experience or knowledge and contains no patient information. Your name is never attached to a shared record. You can retract a contribution you logged in error through your AI assistant; retracted records are hidden, not shown to others, and do not count toward rewards.
Contributor rewards
- Free year. Twenty qualifying contributions in any rolling 365-day period earn one one-time code for a free year of ServiceForge, at most one code per 365 days. Qualifying contributions are fixes, confirmations, parts, PM reports and access codes that are not retracted. Catalog additions do not count. Codes become redeemable when paid subscriptions exist; until then nothing is charged and the code is held for you. A code has no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- Leaderboard. Appearing on the public contributor leaderboard is opt-in, under a display name you choose. Opting out does not affect a free-year code. Display names must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or contain patient information; we may remove one that does.
- Top contributor prize. A cash prize for the top contributor is at FieldReady Academy's discretion; eligibility requires having opted in to the leaderboard for the relevant period. The amount, timing and any further conditions will be announced before an award is made. We may disqualify contributions we judge to be padding, duplicates, or otherwise not genuine, and we may change or end the program with notice on the site.
Pricing
Everything is free while we launch. If paid plans are introduced, they will be announced on the site with notice, and nothing you contributed will be taken away from you.
Our content
Course content, the site, and the ServiceForge knowledge base are owned by FieldReady Academy or its licensors. You may use them for your own professional and study purposes. All other rights are reserved.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FieldReady Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on a record, from equipment damage, or from injury, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which while the service is free is nothing.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms by updating this page; the date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which FieldReady Academy is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
